New Release: Ariadna Tank Hunter AP HMG Resculpt

Looks like the Ariadnan Tank Hunters are getting resculpted.  I am quite fond of this unit for turning all of my opponents minis into red mist (or insert whatever blood colour Shasvastii, Morat, Lhosts, Tohaa, etc. have). Imagine ripped straight out of MiniWarGaming's bombastic YouTube video.
I like the new Tank Hunter but as a proud owner of all of the original three, I don't know if he measures up.  Sure, the sculpt quality has gone up drastically but I really liked the understated 'generic' poses of a lot of Ariadnan sculpts.  Instead of the loud, "shake it" and/or kawaii anime stuff, you've got solid looking soldiers if we can ignore the drunken USAriadnan Minuteman. It's cool because the Tank Hunters style was skirmishing with the things they blew up.  Even with the entirety of the Human Sphere, these rugged badasses knew that nothing solves diplomatic problems like heavy weaponry.

Normally, it is speed that wins the game.  It's the use of high mobility units, where the baseline for action is 4-4 MOV, that helped shape my Haqqislam and Ariadna combat doctrines in Infinity.  In my mind, this means that if you have a 4-2 MOV model, you better be bringing an idiot-proof solution. And the majority of the time, 4-2 MOV models do bring extraordinary gear that are idiot-proof in their execution. Airborne Deployment, Multi-Spectral Visors and/or heavy defences make these models excel at offence or defence as required.  They ignore your opponents plan, that is their value and 4-2 MOV is the price you pay.

So, while the Spetnaz is receiving a lot of love for their Marksmanship 2; Martial Arts 2; Ambush Camouflage and Parachutist; and/or heavy weapons load outs; they have not displaced the Tank Hunter.
Old Tank Hunters - Lt. Option and HMG
It just goes back to idiot-proof solutions.  With Camouflage, long range and Armor Piercing on everything, the Tank Hunter shreds supposed tough targets.  The Spetsnaz is spending points on getting close and killing their target, Tank Hunters lurk in the background and obliterate a target.  With Nimbus Zones being used in a core rule book, low Burst but high effectiveness weapons such as the Auto-Cannon can overlook objectives with little to fear.  The Tank Hunter AP Rifle load out is an amazing Lt., between Camouflage and the ADHL, he is probably the hardest Lt. to take out.  Hell, if your opponent looks at your board, he's got no clue which of those blips is your leader.  And even if you expend your Lt's Order moving that Camouflage Marker, they've got no clue which model that actually is.

Normally, I'd say wait for these guys to make appearances on your table but that's wrong with Ariadnan's Tank Hunters. You don't see them coming and they're going to make you have a very bad day.

Other releases this month will be the Alguiciles Support Weapons box, the Nazarova Twins to go with  Kasym Beg and something for Aleph. Tune in on Crits Kill People for those updates.
