5. Endalyon's - Alfred Rules Leaked
Very simple spoiler that got a lot of traction. I can definitely understand as I'm sure many players are surprised that someone like Alfred can get into the fray. Personally, I think Alfred is an exciting experiment, which is probably exactly why Knight Models released him with the Batman version of the book. He also tends to make Cops playable under the Batman banner. I've already asked for the Arrow's Felicity, but this also opens up the possibility for Oracle and other support characters!
4. Tevesh's - Tamrielo's ITS Listbuilding Tactica - Feature Friday
Part of the reason why I started Crits Kill People is because I got tired of seeing forum gold slip through the cracks. When I stumble across something amazing, I want it preserved so that people can link to it for reference. Unfortunately, there's been a move towards using Facebook which makes things more temporary than not. Tamrielo's post on ITS is insightful and he let us put it up. It is rightfully one of our most popular articles last month!
3. Endalyon's - March Releases for Batman Miniature Game
Two Face Goons round out the standard collection but it is the other box sets that are especially exciting for Batman Miniature Gamers. The mislabeled in the photo Blackgate Set II is an amazing set of miniatures that work for any non-Law-based Gangs, making them perfect filler for any underworld king trying to carve a piece of Gotham out for themselves. We have another Unpredicable Goon with a Mechanic weapon in Little Spark, Prisoner 03 has one of the most coveted melee weapons in Axe and Prisoner 04 is a Bodyguard with Brass Knuckles. Finally, we got the Corrupt Cops box which is something we asked for before. The Corrupt rule lets you hire up to 3 Cops outside of Law/Batman, meaning this box alone gives lots of possibilities for Organized Crime and Branden working for Black Mask makes things more interesting. The guy who built the Bat-Builder must be quite upset with this release.
Since N3 there has been a lot of debate raging over the usefulness of many things. The sentiment on the Infinity Forums is that Vanilla is superior but Penemue takes the time to address those concerns. Penemue takes his time to address the differences and whether there is truly a more superior choice. He's been the voice of reason before, with topics ranging from HMGs to more abstract things like misunderstanding unit roles.
1. Endalyon's - Changes in Batman Miniature Game
Endalyon goes over every single change. He also ensures to link to the Living FAQ (which he is responsible for). The biggest changes as I see them are: you can no longer stand on Objectives; full Rate of Fire if Shoot then Move; Secret Objective Strategy lets you pick the same objective instead of a different one (this means you can get 2 Ammos as Objectives); and knocked down models maintain their Defence stat against Ranged Attacks. If you're interested in how the game as changed since the free PDF, click that link!
Special February Mention: Play as Joker - Batman Miniature Game
This article became as popular as our #1 for February, Unit Roles, but because of its late release in the month, it didn't even snag a Top 5 position. Well, we take a moment to recognize that. Plus, part of my research into what makes the Joker tick made me realize that he's just hired out a bunch of Juggalos. Which are such a serious gang the FBI monitor them.
