Confessions of a Batman Newbie

I've been playing Batman for a little while, and as an avid writer/reader/gamer, I've constantly gone back to the BMG forums to help me satisfy my craving when I'm unable to play.  I understand that there's a Facebook page, but I don't use Facebook (many reasons for that, including professional ones) so I don't get to see what all the rage is, over there.  The thing that makes me wonder most, though, is...
Been thinking about this one for a while now...
...where's all the action?

This is a rapidly-growing game, and I'm eager to read something - anything - to satisfy my desire to know more.  I want to see people's battle reports, read their strategies and tactics, see what they think about various Free Agents.  I know enough Batman fluff for it to not be a valid alternative, and I keep refreshing the forum in hopes that people will post something more than intermittent comments.  Is there just not enough stuff out there to generate content, yet?

What do you think?  Where do you go for your BMG content?

  1. I know what you mean. I've been doing intermittent battle reports on my blog (http://cheaphammer.blogspot.co.uk) but I've not played enough to develop strategies and such.

The facebook page is more lively than the forum, but even so, in terms of games and strategy, your excellent blog appears to be leading the field, although Tales of a Tabletop Gamer is also good for news.

  2. I run Tales of a Tabletop, but haven't touched on the tactics and strategy side yet as you do great posts on it here. It's where I come to look at things like that anyway.

You could always slap together a 'fake' profile to use the FB groups and such. A lot of discussion and ideas in there.

    1. That's a good idea. I just have - but I've been noticing that there's a lot of craving for super-high-powered supers on there, which distresses me a bit. That's not what I thought BMG would become.

    2. I think that craving is down to the fact KM were asking about Flash and that side of things is big on TV at the moment.
Next month it will be something else.

  3. Still early days yet for the this game. I'd expect it will take a few more years before there is enough of a following for a real community (internet or otherwise) to form. I think we're just a bit spoiled in Ottawa atm and expect the rest of the world to be as big into the game as we have become of late.

    1. That's fair. I'm glad people come to our blog for BMG content, but I don't know where that leaves us xD

  4. This blog and the builder are among the best resources for the game out there.

My playgroup only started getting figs in the past couple months, and the holidays are always slow, but we're looking forward to finally playing in the new year.
