How To Win a Bloodbath (Part 2)

This is part 2 on a series of how to brutally butcher your opponent in the list building stage- for part 1 look here- PART 1

THE LINK

Heavy links- As mentioned in How to cope with link teams- Link teams can just be the worst to fight. When you double down with elite, heavy troopers, that power multiplies significantly- and reduces the minor risks and vulnerabilities of the link, and even gives a second chance against lucky AROs.

 THE LIST-MILITARY ORDERS

The Breakdown
Similar to the Hammer- this list is all about the centrepiece models- Multiple burst 5 weapons on extremely high BS units, linked together- putting the full weight of force on the few models- including Doctors, and hackers to cover any vulnerabilities or shortcomings

THE SWARM

Every order you make, your opponent gets an aro- but for every open and clear ARO- some models still make it through the cracks- and if you pour enough troops into a problem- eventually you will drown your foes in your own blood.

 THE LIST-THE SWARM
Wallace, 38 Glaswegians, and Uxia

The Breakdown-

More than any model in the game- Wallace is singularly pivotal here. With inspiring presence- he turns this rabble into 40 regular orders- 4 times the number of a "solid list". Every Glaswegian is dogged- bezerk, and armed with a chain rifle- they are the very heart of looking to trade wounds- most lists might barely have 20 wounds, so this means you could even afford to pay 2 or 3 wounds for every one you deal. With the use of your massed smoke, and coordinated orders- troops can quickly and unmolested close the gap with the enemy, and Uxia gets to wreck early havoc on any defensive positions or major dangers- clearing the way for the tartan tide to sweep up.

There we have it! 4 lists of terror- they are not the entirety of this sort of thing, but they are at least a brief sample- to illustrate that sort of list. Personally, I think they are quite fun to play, ONCE, and possibly even with proxied models- and with forewarning to your opponent. In any sort of Scenario play, these lists will fall completely flat as well, as they really have no other capacity than to kill.

I hope this series has been fun and informative!
