Wishlist Wednesday- New Rules from the new rulebook

With the New rulebook starting to filter in around the world (just reaching Scotland at the time of this post) everyone is starting to read all the new rules- Many are just the same (but laid out better) but there are some brand new features!

1. New gangs! (equipment)
Despite an original 9 Gangs- people have always clamoured for more factions- and this rulebook gives them too us. Freeze, Organized Crime, Riddler, Wonderland gang all have equipment lists in this book. All of the old gangs now have an extra item in their lists!

2. Multiple equipments- not only do henchmen have more access to equipment- they can now take more of it! A henchman may have multiple equipment now, so long as there are no duplicates on a model and they do not exceed the gang's limits. This means that it is much easier for any gang to use up their money.

3. Coup de grace- A HUGE rule change- but one that was well expected. Before, models that dealt only stun damage could not hurt a KO model, meaning they could recover on their own (and BANE was unable to kill any of his foes. NOW all models can add a blood to their damage while attacking a KO model. This levels the playing field for a lot of people, and gives a solid chance to them. Great change!

4. Template sizes- one subtle little change that will have a pretty big impact is the explosive template. Now 5cm in radius- the round template has lost 2 cm from its overall size.

5. Riddler objectives- a very awkward rule has been cleared up dramatically. Instead of picking numbers and trying to roll exactly on them- riddles now have a standardized result for your d6 roll
1- The rolling player LOSES a VP
2-3 Nothing
4-5 The rolling player Gains a VP
6 The rolling player GAIN 3 VP

Simple- easier, and straightforward. Existing traits like detective and mastermind now help too!

What do you think? do you like these new rules?
