Play as Joker - Batman Miniature Game

Hey, wanna hear a joke?

Strategy and Tactics.

The Batman Miniature Game beautifully balances on the two. Raise the Plan to outline your Strategy, the game turn to complete with Tactics. Too bad the Joker doesn't give two craps about that.
Strategy is coming up with a plan but you cannot plan for the Joker. Tactics is using abilities to leverage gains but you cannot get a leg up on the Joker. The Joker welcomes all and one into his happy family. There is a reason why all of his clowns have such abysmal stats. The Joker will take any Tom, Dick or Harry off of the streets, hand them a weapon, and give 'em a mask just to see what happens. The Joker loves seeing a superior force have their abilities turned back on themselves. Isn't that funny? Why else do you think Distracting Laughs from Clown Paint is so cheap?

Sure, eventually a canny opponent might get one over on Joker. It's too bad the Joker has already shortened the game with Kaos Agent. You planned on winning through endurance or a long term play? That comeback got negated. Each of Joker's own men, through being selfish Tricksters, let's them place dice in Defence and Move (for Neurotoxic Drugs). Each one of them becomes a difficult nut to crack through Shooting or Melee. But if you leave these guys alone, they'll come up with some sort of counter! The real strength in Joker is his ability to respond perfectly without a plan. Oops, there goes your Strategy!

Knock Downs are normally incredible coups. The Defence drops to 2 and a beat down is eagerly invited. Bat's high cost due to his suite of Defensive abilities gets turned into useless text. You must've been absolutely Batty to spend a hundred plus points on Defence 4 and 5 while a mere Knock Down turns his high stats into a ten point chump. Guess what? The Joker has a monopoly on ten point Henchmen. You think turnabout is fair play - but that's the punchline: Joker's thugs all have Defence 2. There is no difference between standing around or lying down. I hope you didn't buy tactically inclined models with Technique or Brutal.
Oh? You activated in just the right order to ensure your models are swarming Jokers? That's a nice time waster as you can't really lower a model's stats below 2. Though thanks for clustering. Please wait a moment while the Joker makes a call with Henchmen Bomb. After all, the rules say he gets his one phone call... Oh? He already made that one call? Well, I guess this Clown is going to Distract and then attack back. It's like he brings his own Gang with him wherever he goes. Where are your Tactics now?!

Players should be aware that the Joker can't fight, so enjoy the gag of destroying that misconception with the newest Joker.  Trading Kaos Agent for Large, this Joker makes him free to run Free Agents or elite clowns. While appearing as a Bruiser, the Titan Joker still nullifies your control with Large and pulverizes threats with Power Strike and Claws.  Heath Ledger's Joker closes the distance with Undercover and Henchmen Bomb to immediately begin a confrontation in this shorter game. Classic Joker's ability to shoot around corners with Total Vision and ignoring Sneak Attack infuriates opponents, as well as the single shot you need with a One Shot Gun. Smile when your opponents pull their hair out, because you just can't believe the Joker's Luck. If they fail to hit you, recover Stun through Special but if they do - you don't even need to take it on the chin.

Knife and Shield Clowns cheaply bring Distract into play. Allowing for Sniggering and Triston to easily shoot supposed tough targets. Guns usually target Henchmen because you don't want to risk a setup on something that might miss; Distract turns Free Agent and Leaders stats into Henchmen level. Sniggering's Informer lets this setup occur easily. August's Tireless and Master of Ceremonies' Elusive easily close the distance on any counter-snipers. And the amount of Axes! Oh my, it's like they looted the Firefighters trying to put out Joker's fires. Borgon and Asker are amazing threats for their relative worth - Borgon being a Sturdy Brutal Criminal to Asker's Opportunist melee and ranged combination with Fast and Distract. The Titan Clown might as well be the final punchline, as besting this beastly Bruiser only nets 2 VP.
Betcha didn't realize Juggalos are Joker Goons
You enjoy skillful and capability in your models? The Joker doesn't. You think you're quite the armchair general? The Joker doesn't. You planned on playing out the entire match? The Joker doesn't. If you oppose the Joker, he'll get the last laugh. Your only choice is to play as the Joker. Why else would there be a dedicated method on how to beat him? He's got the right game plan, after all.

The Joker drags your models down to his level and beats you with experience.
