KM have previewed the NEW green arrow, to lead his own gang.
This arrow is based off the SHOW- so we we are hoping to get some Smoak and Diggle soon?
The model is definitely a different POSE then the other Arrow, and he looks like a much FINER sculpt, but I am not sure how different he really is (or how different he really should be, he looks like the guy!)
This is another model with modelling opportunities as well, as an ADDITIONAL HEAD is included with the model, without the hood (similar to origins deathstroke)
As this Arrow is based off the new show, where he displays very different capacities. He has been beefed up to fight as a leader!
What all changed?
Showarrow gained-
+1 End
Weapon master
Shooter
Counter attack
A heck of a lot of arrow types!
But lost-
Technique
Master Marksman
Hardened
Adaptable
Multifire definitely makes some hard decisions for Oliver, with the old rapid-fire you could move and fireand the lack of Adaptable and master marksman will probably sting- An extra END is not enough to make up for hardened- as it is usually blood weapons that end up hurting him-
I think he has ended up being a much more dangerous turret-
What do you think?

Wow, he looks -so- much better this way...not like some silly-looking comic hero, but like a kick-ass costumed vigilante. Well done, KM.
ReplyDeleteThat's the whole premise of the Arrow show. It's about a guy who slowly become a hero from the vigilante angle. It's why I've really dug the show.
DeleteI think you missed an important change: Funding = 0. Playing the present version as leader was a pain in the butt with his $ cost.
ReplyDeleteIMHO the loss of technique, hardened, and adaptable will prove minimal. Shooter (blink rolls are very common as opponents place defensively against him) and the Extra END will prove far more useful in practice. Loss of Master Marksman will be missed though; I'll have to look as some probabilities to be sure, but I have a feeling damage potential will be a wash with all the failed to wound... except for the fact he is far less mobile now too and likely has to stick to the ground more in order to utilize inspire. Which isn't a bad thing tbh, as the 1 dimensional batclawing-sniper role got very tedious to play game in game out.
The best news of course is that I can now paint the original sculpt as Speedy and save myself having to field that ball cap version. One less tactical rock too. :)
I'm excited for this sculpt too because it looks so badass! The TV show has really changed my opinion of the Green Arrow as more than a dude who uses arrows and these rules show a complete difference in characters which is also good. It'd suck if they were at all similar, this guy is more like a sniper while the previous was a run and gun.
