BMG NEW RELEASES!

After a well deserved holiday- KM is back at it with the new releases! Green Arrow, Red hood, Swamp thing, (for marvel fans) LOKI, Scenery, AND A RULEBOOK!

We already talked about Green Arrow Here

So, First up- Red Hood!
Presumed dead by Jokers hand, Jason Todd returned to Gotham with a few major features- A mask, guns, and a vengance! If you haven't already seen the "under the red hood" animated film, I HIGHLY suggest it!
At first this model struck me as a bit odd, but I REALLY like it. It is a unique, dynamic pose, no tactical rock, and clear who he is! 9/10!- note, this may change when I try to assemble him- because those skinny arms and legs might be a holy terror!

As for rules? at first glance, he seems a bit like Turk (of blackgate fame)- but turned up 59 points! Robust sidekick stats, with 4s down the line. Instictive fire is Todd's Signature ability, allowing him to unload at close range. This plus Gunman (letting you shoot with both guns) is potent, but when paired with Shooter he is probably one of the most deadly foes out there- with a total RoF of 6!! dealing a potential 12 damage (6 stun, 6 blood!)

Acrobat, martial artist and Kevlar vest keeps him alive a little more (kevlar only being available on gordon before).  while searcher gives him a bit of utility.

The ony major downfall is his WIP. Firing 2 guns costs 5 Action counters, so unload takes the last one- leaving The Hood with nothing left. He is going to certainly be a threat piece, as he will be without any defence once unloading, he better clear the board!

Essentially, dead-robin seems to have 2 major configurations-
Run and gun
3MOV
2ATT
1SC (for quick unloading, or running, or....)

and
FULL POWER
4ATT
2SC

I imagine I will be seeing a lot of Jason on the table soon....

Next? SWAMP THING!
He's Big, He's Bad, He's Green- can't get better than that. I cant help feeling he has a bit of nasal congestion.  Also, it appears he is surfing on some sort of badass rock surfboard, which might make the model a bit tippy.

As a sidekick to Ivy, he can lead his own plant gang. Another member of the big boys club, Swamp thing is priced the same as BIG BANE, and BATPOD- he better bring some hurt to the yard.

And he does.

As expected, Swamps has Large, Def 3, STR 2+, a relatively slow basic mov, natural immunities, and elite boss for his plants.

Scientific, Affinity, Immortal and Regeneration are all nice features as well. Scientific mitigates Immortal a bit, but reduces the VP gained from making him a casualty from 4 to 3. Having 4sc available to him, however, makes him possibly the most rapidly recovering model in the game!

Roots is a great way to lock down an enemy big guy (as their Mov tends to be pretty low!), opponents should beware this ability- as it shuts a troop down for a turn. Tough skin gives him a solid resilience, especially against the small enemy swarms.

With tough Skin AND regeneration- people need to put him down, and keep him down. Admittedly, he can go down to 3Action Counters when heavily wounded, With scientific he could rapidly recover the damage.

Green travel gives an excellent, one time travel to the Thing, letting him catch his prey- once. This well makes up for the inability to use the sewers.

His attacks are alright- A non-Handy weapon and a reloading spikelauncher are solid, but are not overwhelming. Perhaps the big balance on Swamps is his fairly standard weaponry

Whenever Fire weapons start appearing however- there will be some serious fear!

  2. Swamp Thing is intimidating, but those billboards are a must-have.
