NEW RELEASES- KM

KNIGHT MODELS has released their November models! Black canary, Thanos, LOBO, and Speedy (who we already saw). Everything looks AWESOME, but of course, we need to go a bit more in depth!

First up- Black Canary!

Solid looking model, "tactical rock" but a interesting and unique pose. I am glad there is no "forward arc" in the game, because she is "facing" 3 different directions. Paint job is superb, her face looks fantastic- I cant wait to get my hands on the model! 8/10!

She is another of the "green arrow" exclusives, filling out the new gang. Mov3 and no batclaw puts her definitely slower then the rest of the gang, but Hidden means she can be the first to engage. Canary Cry seems to be written more elaborately than it needs to be, and at 1Blood damage, I am not sure how much it will do (on average, a WIP 4 model will pass ~25% of the time and leaders will probably never fail) 

ATTACK and DEF 4 means she is rather hard in combat (especially with a DEF bonus)- an technique sets up some killer shots for the arrow boys. Expect to see her like a Silk Spectre- up in the fight, controlling engagements. Probably "combat mode" counter assignment

1 MOV (for dodging or moving)

1 ATT (for technique)

2 DEF (to stay alive)

2 SC (for Cry, Technique, or to run)

Second, but never second- LOBO

He is an AWESOME model- there are so many interpretations to him you can't satisfy everyone. He definitely looks beefy and beastly though! "tactical rock" again is a bit of a shame (could be a motorcycle)I am curious how much he will tower over "average" models, because he already looks imposing! 9/10

As for rules, he is pretty interesting. I was expecting maybe a very mobile beater, but he seems pretty opposite. Recruitment restrictions are the most strict they have ever been- no GOOD guys, no women (not sure if this is balance or flavour), so you will have to build around LOBO, not just toss him in. Clocking in at 136 REP and 500$ he is the second most expensive free agent, and it shows. WILL8 is massive, and ATTACK 5 is brutal, and the hook is an interesting weapon (with powerstrike too). Masterfighter only applies to unarmed attacks, however, and without gloves, lobo is going to have trouble dealing with bigger targets. Powerstrike and Brutal means he has strong access to knockdown. Big Gun at RoF 4 and M.Range should get at least a shot off a game, which can be really potent (potentially 8 blood). Regenation like clayface will be interesting to see, but with no "sturdy" he can be down to 4Action counters with enough damage.

but with no rerolls, LOBO looks like he is best at clearing small troops. and at that, he will do a damn fine job.

 honestly, this month looks like the releases are designed for dealing with Swarms.

Thanos-

Looks like Thanos, but without the power mitten. He looks nice and beefy, in a static but strong pose. I know a few people who will be exited. 7/10 but not really his fault (he looks the way he should, its just not that interesting... for me)


Also released- More MDF Terrain- some interesting scatter pieces.
